Facebook and Friends!!

Ok so it has been quit some time since I have had anything to blog about, but today was such a great day that I thought I would just tell you what I am thankful for. I am so thankful for the internet in that aspect of friends! Why you ask? Well I am not only thankful for the net that gives the fabulous friend finding page "Facebook", but also for those fabulous friends that have taken a minute or two to put their names on there and either look me up or when I find them they accept once again to be my web friend, LOL.
I am so thankful today that I have found my elementary buddies that I have never forgotten, yet life has separated us for so many years and now we are finally in touch again. I am thankful that we all have had the trials that we have had in our lives to make us each the person we are today and I know even through the hard times wondering what we are learning from it all we have definately all became the best person we can be today.
Life is too short to dwell on the bad and the past but this is one time I am thankful for the past!! I am so thankful for all the many friends we are given throughout our lives and for life bringing us all back around to revisit the past friends and have them in our lives.
Old friends, new friends, good friends, getting better friends that is what we are all looking for! Once again I am happy this day and so thankful God gave us friends in this life!! To all my friends......I love you and you are the BEST!!

Well here's the Truth. . .

First of all I would just like to tell Bonnie S. just try the pork chops and apples, you'll be surprised what's good for you!!
Here is my story: First of all Sharon Goochie (now married), was in the bakery first and then along came her very own bakery friend Kelly. Now these two girls had a hay day every time we came to work. Playing with the doughnuts, washing pans and buggin' the bakery ladies. We had so many laughs and good nights wrappin' all those ooey gooey doughnuts and then one day Sharon decided she was just too good to be a night girl and moved on to the daytime shift. Kelly was sad but would get by (barely) with the other girls there (wasn't nearly as much fun though). Now these two girls would meet up on Saturday shifts and would giggle like old times. Sharon thought it would be cool to invite her little "shy" sister to work at the bakery and try to get her to be cool like the rest of us. Sooo, along came Bonnie Goochie (also now married), and she set out to try to be cool like her really cool sister Sharon and Sharon's really good bakery friend Kelly. Bonnie was sooo shy (NOT) she barely said two words (NOT) the first night she was there. She got put on the night shift with Kelly and they immediately hit it off! Bonnie had so many stories and Kelly laughed at every word, gesture and look she made. I'm not sure how any of the pans got washed or doughnuts got wrapped, or floors got scrubbed, but they did (I think).

So yes Sharon I was your friend first and Bonnie stole me away, BUT it doesn't end there. . . .

Later in life, when we were all grown up, this same girl named Kelly had a little sister named Alexis and they talked ALL the time. One day Kelly introduced her to this same Bonnie girl and they all started being chatty and laughing. One day these two girls started bullying Kelly (over instant messenger no less)cuz she didn't have a blog and it ended in Bonnie taking over Alexis and now Kelly knows how Sharon feels. Now I'm not sure if Bonnie has possession problems or what but I'm thinking someone needs to talk to this greedy little girl (maybe she's old, lol)!

Moral of the story: watch out who you invite Bonnie to know, she's extremely "shy", very "quiet" and has no friends or her own sisters apparently. hehehe

P.S. Bonnie I really did love the bakery days and miss them so much and life would never be the same without you!!! Your the best ever!! Love you friend!

Hungry?

So I was thinking that you might get hungry so I thought heck if I can't feed you I might as well give you something to think about cooking. By the way YES I have cooked these recipes and they are EXCEPTIONAL!!!!! The pork chop one sounds a little questionable for those of you that don't like cooked fruit (like Travis, but even he liked it). I think it tastes almost just like a Thanksgiving dinner and very inexpensive to make, so try them out and let me know what you think. I promise after you make them you will want to make them again and again.

Scrambled Eggs Alfredo Bake
Prep time: 35 min. Makes: 6 servings

1 c Bisquick mix
1/4 tsp Italian seasoning
6 tbsp firm butter or margarine
1 egg
1/4 c chopped onion
1/4 c chopped green bell pepper (I left out and it was still yummy)
1 jar (4.5 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
12 eggs, beaten
1/3 c crumbled precooked bacon
3/4 c Alfredo pasta sauce

1. Heat oven to 400*F. Spray square baking dish, 8x8x2-inch, with cooking spray. Mix Bisquick mix, Italian seasoning and 4 tbsp of the butter in small bowl with a fork or pastry blender until crumbly. Gently stir in 1 egg; set aside.
2. Melt remaining 2 tbsp butter in 12-inch nonstick skillet over med. heat. Cook onion, bell pepper and mushrooms in butter 3 to 5 min., stirring occasionally, until vegetables are crisp-tender.
3. Add beaten eggs to vegetable mixture. Cook, stirring occasionally, until eggs are set; remove from heat. Gently stir in bacon and Alfredo sauce. Spread in baking dish. Sprinkle Bisquick mixture over eggs.
4. Bake uncovered about 15 min. until topping is golden brown.

Serve with fresh fruit

prep time: 45 min. Makes: 6 servings

1 pkg. (6oz.) Stove Top Stuffing Mix for Chicken
1 can (21 oz.) apple pie filling
6 boneless pork loin chops, 3/4 inch thick

Hope turns "10"

Can you believe I have a 10 year old little girl? Happy Birthday to Hope Michelle! Man is she growing up fast! She has definately been a challenge at times, but well worth it. She has us always on our toes with her witty little self and all the amazing stories she can tell. We tell her she should start writing stories, she is that good at telling them. But she has other things in mind for life: torturing her older brother, loving her 2 younger brothers, wrestling with her dad and trying her best to be the next Hannah Montana or Shania Twain.
This past year she has grown so much she refuses any toys or dolls within her room. You think well what kid doesn't want toys and dolls? MINE!! She wants nothing in her room except a bed (only because she has to have one), dresser and her clothes. Half the time she is trying to get rid of those things out of her room too. Like we just got her a new bed. She was so excited to have it home and put together, giving the boys the bunk bed. OH NO!! Hope started crying and making her a makeshift bed on the floor. (mom yelling) "What are you doing?" Hope doesn't want a bed in her room.
Hope is now in the 4th grade and making lots of new friends. She races everyone in her class, so I thought well heck she needs some new shoes if she's always racing around. OH NO!! BIG MISTAKE! We bought her some new shoes and she takes the old ragged, falling apart, holy shoes to school just to change into and race "cuz I'm fast, mom!!"
**Moral of the story: As your kid gets older, don't buy new beds, make them sleep on the floor and no new shoes!!
We still love our little girl even with the smiles or tears! She is just like one of the boys and don't care about toys!!

Growin' old together

This last week on the 10th of September, Travis and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary. For the most part it was just an ordinary day like any other, other than we are both getting older and learning one day more how to live with each others onriness - ok so with Travis' onriness *wink*wink*
To look back at all the trials and treasures we have been given along the way we would probably make some better choices, but as for US, that would have never been a change. Life would have never been as exciting as it has been without my eternal companion by my side through good and bad!! Everyday I wake up I thank God for the wonderful man I was given to walk this journey with and raise the beautiful family we have created.
Now I know we all have had that day where we have thought: "What was I thinking?", but by the end of the day or next when things are all smoothed out and peaceful again we think: "Oh yeah this is what I was thinking!!" Life wasn't suppose to be easy and without the trials we have been given we may have never became this strong in our relationship. You definately learn to give and take and sometimes give more than you get to take, but I guess that's where the fine print came in on that marriage certificate eh?
Every year on our anniversary I try to get Travis to watch our wedding video, but he won't! Wanna know why? Well let me tell you. Within our tape, from whomever was taping came to each one of us and asked what our last words were before we got married that day and here's what was said:
Kelly: "JUMP BABY, JUMP!!"
Travis: "HELP"
To this day he has NEVER been able to forget or be forgiven of that ONE word! EVER!! Yes he has had to pay for that, I give him crap about it all the time and let me tell you a few times he has really probably wanted to yell HELP the whole entire day! HEHEHEHE
Honestly Travis is really the best husband anyone could have hand picked for me and I'm thankful I picked him (even though I liked his best friend first, but that's another story). I would never want another man to be my partner in this life, so here's to Travis and a great 17 yrs together which 14 of them we have been married. Thanks for eternity Trav, I love you!!

Got Diapers?

Here I am sitting, relaxing and enjoying a peaceful Sunday early afternoon. Watching a Disney movie with the kids and talking to baby when out of the blue the door bell rings. Of course 98% of the time our family doesn't answer it, only because we don't want to be forced to say no to a calling or prayer, but today I thought "ok all the good church goers (obviously not us) are all downtown for a Conference session, so I might as well answer it".
As Hope answers the door there are little kids cheesing it and ask her "can we borrow a diaper?"
Ok so we all have asked for an egg or two, some butter or maybe even an onion, but a DIAPER? Who does that?
I was thrown off by this! A diaper?
I ask Hope, "who is it for?"
Mind you all of our neighbors have potty trained kids (well we all hope so anyways), and no babies. So I told her to ask who needs it and what size? Come to find out a great visiting family member of a neighbor supposedly has no diapers. How do you leave your house and not get at least 1 diaper for the kid you know needs one. So I let her take one of Matthew's and give it to them.
My pondering question still is: A: who does that? asking for a diaper of all things? B: Don't we all live right behind the WalMart complex?
So next time your thinking of knockin on a neighbors door for anything, you might wanna check your bags to make sure you don't already have that egg, onion or even a DIAPER.

Take that for a new blog

Well that was the craziest 4 hours of my bloggin career! Settin' n savin' n clickin' n deletin' n retypin'; who says I know how to type and spell correctly with my fingers and all that jazz to make it work...whew glad that's done. Now I'm off to the wonders of diggin' for a good story to tell. Ok so really with it 3am in the morn I think I'm gonna sleep on it and hope I dream up something BIG.
I've got birthdays, lunches, anniversaries, kids and oh a husband to tell you about. So I've definately got my work cut out for me now. So onto a bit of a nap and then it's onto a story tellin'. Don't think you 2 Little Devils won't be in my story tellin', cuz I have a lot to say about that: sluffin' n bathrooms n bakeries n giggles n brushes. You just wait you'll be comin' back for more once your in the story. HeHeHe

The beginning of no End

So I've been tempted so much by "those little devils" that I have finally taken their drug and gave in. I am doomed FOREVER!! Those little devils sure know who they are and I hope you feel good about yourselves tempting the perfect one. LOL
Now that I have taken the drug, I will be submissive and will try to work hard to entertain with the many stories I have to offer, and man do I have some stories to tell! I have brainstormed and thought of many things to say since those little devils started in on me and now as I said in the title...there will be no end! !
Please . . . hold the applause til later. (As I bow...thank you...thank you)
